Designed in Utah and manufactured in Michigan - Knafs are proud to introduce their first ever made in the USA knife. Did we mention it's a fixed blade?
The knife itself is produced in the US, yes, but everything down to the sticker on the box is sourced locally in the US!
Perhaps the most fascinating homegrown ingredient is the CPM MagnaCut blade steel. This stuff is ultra-high-performance and boasts incredible edge retention whilst still maintaining very high toughness, and also sports very impressive corrosion resistance. A true super steel.
And for the kicker, designer Ben himself flew all the way to the Colombian Amazon to put the Lulu through its paces. Save the details for the blog, but let's just say she didn't disappoint.
Who is Lulu? That's tough to say definitively, but this Lulu is named after a favourite mountain pass in Southern Montana. Who was that pass named after? That's a different story for another time.
UPDATE
The Lulu has had a slight update. For a more consistent product, the flat of the blade has been changed from a completely raw finish to a stonewash. The character in the raw surface was nice but made QC difficult. The new finish makes for a more consistent product, better for you folks.
